Hydrogen
Systems for Energy Supply
An Overview

Hydrogen Energy Storage: "The
Hydrogen Battery"
Electrolytic hydrogen production and storage provides a method of
storing electrical energy in the form of compressed gas, lowering the cost of large scale
energy storage systems. When called upon, hydrogen from storage can be converted back to
electricity or used directly as a chemical feedstock.
Virtual Energy Storage:
Electrolytic hydrogen production can be integrated to match power
grid demands for electricity so that when said demand is low, the electrolysis system
produces and stores hydrogen. When demand is high, hydrogen is released to the fuel cell
module to supplement the direct electricity supply guaranteeing the community a consistent
dependable energy source.

Overcoming the Renewable Energy Gap
One limitation of renewable energy generation by solar panel or
wind turbine is that the energy is available intermittently, only when the sun is shining
or the wind is blowing. This creates a gap in time between energy supply and demand.
Electrolytic hydrogen storage provides a means for storing energy, enabling
"stand-alone" operation of systems based solely on local indigenous renewable
energy.

Technology Leader
Stuart's UNICELL-CLUSTERTM
insures high coupling efficiency between power source and electrolysis process. Stuart's
extensive experience with integration of renewable hydrogen systems and with the renewable
energy industry, provides the base needed to supply complete turnkey systems.
Rapidly Deployed
In most configurations, the system can be delivered as a series
of Stuart modules built into standard shipping containers. Pressurized gas storage systems
can also be supplied.
